Angels are a strong influence throughout my work but the reasons for my using them might not be clear. Religions have had the money and power to commission the worlds greatest artists through time, the art and sculptures are some of the finest works in the world truly breathtaking. Most of my angels are made up from photos of existing sculptures, stitched together and manipulated into poses reanimating them in my art. As an atheist with a strong dislike and mistrust for organised religions and I like to bring them down a peg to a human level, tatted up, doing the mundane or illegal and in this case the heinous crime of graffiti removal 😅
